Job Description


My client is a small International Bank with offices based in the West End of London and we are currently recruiting on their behalf for an HR Director / HR Advisor who has worked as a main board advisor on all HR related issues such as:

  • The HR Director / HR Advisor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential HR service to the Executives of  the Bank, ensuring that efficiency and accuracy in all dealings are maintained to the highest standards required of a DFSA listed, PRA regulated Bank.
  • Ensure that PRA regulations are adhered to including Code Staff and RPS.
  • Responsible for dealing with the Inland Revenue and any other statutory regulators with regard to HR matters.
  • Responsible for handling all recruitment and terminations within the Bank including settlement agreements.
  • Ensure that employee contractual arrangements meet best practice.
  • Ensure that salary and benefit contracts meet the strategic requirements of the Bank.
  • Ensure that variable pay policy and schemes follow best practice and provide appropriate retention and incentives.
  • Responsible for ensuring that HR profile is maintained in the Bank and that HR is recognised and established as an integral part of the management structure.
  • To lead HR projects and ensure that the bank is always kept current.
  • To ensure that the bank is fully compliant under Health & Safety law.
  • To promote the bank with peers in the HR London marketplace.
  • To keep the Board advised on personnel and employee-relations policies, as needed to maintain and facilitate the bank’s Company strategy.
  • To improve management / employee communications, including mediating in disputes and advising line managers on how to implement personnel policies
  • To fully understand and ensure that the company adheres to the EU Banker Bonus Cap
  • Sit on the Banks Risk and Operations committee
