Job Description

Our client, a specialist immigration firm based in London, is looking for a UK Immigration Consultant to join their team.

The role of consultant, dealing primarily with UK immigration applications, requires attention to detail and the ability to explain in a clear manner exactly the type and format of documents required, plus intelligent assessment of such documents. The employers they deal with range in size from small organisations to international corporate companies and, as individuals come from a range of backgrounds, a consultant is expected to be able to communicate effectively at all levels.


  • Deal with Points Based System applications for existing and new clients including Sponsor Licence matters and related audits at clients’€™ offices
  • Assist with the monitoring and control of PBS compliance and record systems for specific corporate clients
  • Undertake preparation of other types of UK immigration applications to the relevant UK authorities when requested including initially preparing and sending to the client an agreement and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted with applications
  • Respond to new immigration enquiries (by phone, fax, email and post as necessary) and allocate new enquiries to appropriate individuals within the company
  • Sign post clients to other providers (JCWI; ILPA etc) if not able to assist
  • Advise existing & potential clients on all aspects of immigration (with the exception of Asylum information) by telephone, email or consultation (at our or their office, as required)
  • Monitor progress of immigration application with the relevant section of the Home Office or British overseas diplomatic mission and keep client advised at all times
  • In the event of an application being refused, discuss the options under UK immigration law
  • Ensure all documentation is returned to clients as quickly as possible by appropriate methods
  • Keep an accurate & up-to-date record of immigration application on the Office Base

  • Advise clients at all times of any changes in immigration law, policy & procedures which may affect their application
  • Advise management of any problems with clients so that the matter can be dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Keep close contact with clients to ensure they are satisfied with the service provided
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all individuals within the organisation
  • Attend regular office and immigration section meetings and ensure dissemination of relevant information within the organisation
  • Keep abreast of new possibilities for the company
  • Maintain a high level of professional conduct when dealing with clients and all other external organisations

The ideal candidate will be OISC Level 2 qualified and have experience handling Corporate Immigration caseloads. You must also have excellent customer service and IT skills.

The successful candidate will be offered a salary around £25-28K, depending on skills and experience.
